First four quires with dampstaining and small puncture, ETS library stamp to title page, remaining pages exceptionally bright and clean with minimal toning or foxing and no marking. Bound with: The Whole Book of Psalms in Metre; with Hymns, Suited to the Feasts and Fasts of the Church, and Other Occasions of Public Worship. New-York: Printed by William A. Davis, for P.A. Mesier. 1805. 3S (3 leaves) + 3T-4Z (4 leaf quires) + 5A1 + 3 rfep. Psalms with separate title page (dated 1805) and separate pagination but register is continuous with BCP. 4Y1 and 2 are unopened. Bound (cased) in modern mottled (brown/black) full calf, with four false raised bands to spine with double gilt rules and black spine label with gilt "Common Prayer. An excellent copy of one of the earliest printings of the American Prayer Book. A scarce edition.
