Crown Publishers, New York, 1939. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition. Illustrator: Matisse, Picasso, Berard. etc. the book is secondhand, the spine section is darkened with age, so that the gilt lettering is almost unreadable, the front board lettering is bright, there are traces of flecking where the filler/sizing of the cloth has come loose. Offset tanning of the interior margins of the end pages from the glue used to bind the book, foxing to the lower right-hand corner of the front end paper, the usual browning of the page edges, no other damage to describe, indeed the book is remarkably bright, and the illustrations literally pop out – please see attached images Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
