New York: Limited Editions Club, 1967. Cloth-backed boards. Some foxing to gutters. About Fine in lightly worn glassine and a lightly soiled, Near Fine slipcase. Fritz Kredel. Tall octavo (6-3/4" x 10-3/4") bound in quarter blue buckram and decorated boards, 240 pages. A collection of 87 classic ballads from all over the world, but primarily from England and America, selected and edited by MacEdward Leach. Illustrated with 36 hand-colored woodcuts by Fritz Kredel. Of a total of 1500 numbered copies SIGNED by the artist on the colophon page, this is one of only 15 Presentation Copies with the publisher's blindstamp on the colophon page and initialed "F.K." instead of numbered, indicating that it is the artist's own copy of the book. Monthly Letter laid in.
