N/A: N/A, 1917. 220 x 143 mm. Good. Manuscript note book; good condition, in rubbed marbled paper covered card wrappers with cloth spine; the binding is tight. Internally clean with neat entries in ink and coloured pencil on blue rules. Several pages excised. This notebook belonged to N J Delaney, a trainee artillery officer in World War I, who describes various British and German grenades by means of very well executed coloured drawings with accomplished technical explanations. At the rear of the notebook are exercises in German grammar. A very interesting volume. Good 1917
