New York: Ricordi, 1952. First edition thus. 4to, 285pp., illustrated gray wraps. Very good with some toning to page block edge, rubbing, and both corners of rear cover chipped. Signed and inscribed by Dietz on the front cover with a TLS on MGM letterhead laid in. Score for the English version of this verismo opera by Howard Dietz, the librettist known for his work with Arthur Schwartz, and Vice President in charge of publicity at MGM at the time. Association copy inscribed to Dietz's colleague, Barrett Kiesling, then publicity director for the company. Laid in is a letter on Dietz's MGM New York letterhead addressed to Kiesling at MGM in Culver City: "Dear Barrett, Here is the score of my English version of "La Boheme". I am proud to be included in the distinguished group on your library shelves. Best wishes. Yours, Howard.
