About This Item
Hardcover. Fair. [In German] by T.J.V. Braght. Ephrata in Pensylvanien, Anno MDCCXLVIII (1748). PLEASE NOTE THE DATE OF THIS RARE VOLUME by T.J.V. Braght. Ephrata in Pensylvanien, Anno MDCCXLVIII (1748). Photos on request. Serious inquiries only. Condition: This is a massive book measuring 15 by 9.5 inches, with a thickness of about 5 inches. The front board is separated from the thick leather binding and the back board is split in half. There are copper (?) clasps on the corners of the boards. The binding is still tight. The front endpaper has some writing, and there is some fraying of edges on endpapers. Damp-staining darkens the edges on the first few pages, with moderate foxing throughout. An unusual and very scarce copy, by one of the first printers in the U.S.
