A thrilling collection of short stories with a mixture of suspense, crime, and virtuosity. Stories include: The Blue Ribbon, The Dog with the Wooden Leg, The Lie, Hot Towel, and Wild Bill Hiccup. Written by Cornell George Hopley Woolrich, under the pseudonym William Irish, an American novelist and short story writer. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with minor wear to the extremities. Light discolouration to the head and tail of the spine and board edges. Original price-clipped dust wrapper is sound with chipping and light loss to the extremities. Loss to the head of the spine and front panel. The odd small closed tear to the extremities with a large closed tear to the front flyleaf. Sunning to the spine and the odd small mark to the panels. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Light spotting and age toning to the endpapers. Very Good
