California: The Pacific Coast Bulldog Club, 1938. First edition. 6 1/4 x 9 1/4 in. HC. Dark blue cloth binding with gold stamped titles and image of bulldog head on front; no type on spine. Newspaper photo of champion bulldog and chow inserted between cover and endsheet has ghosted onto endsheet. Some minor soiling on back endsheet. Otherwise book is clean, bright, and tight. Blue paper jacket has a missing chunk top front and nicks and small tears at edges, but is basically intact.
