About This Item
New York: Random House, 1959. First Edition, First Printing Stated. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. From the library of Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., with his bookplate on the front paste-down, and inscribed by the author: "This one is for Mary Lee and Doug with love and happy memories." Fairbanks (1909-2000) was an iconic American actor from Hollywoods Golden Era (his credits include Gunga Din), and a highly decorated naval officer of World War II. Kanin wrote and directed numerous plays and films -- and this is his first novel. A nice association copy. Cloth, NF, in VG DJ with some light soiling and wear along the edges.
