First edition, first printing. xxviii, 654pp with sections of plate photographic illustrations and other maps, charts, drawings etc in text. Illustrated endpapers. Bound in black cloth-covered boards with gilt titles to spine (boards very slightly worn on corners and spine tips). Top edge dusty. Internally neat, clean and tight, just a tad off white. In its original dust jacket, bright and crisp. The dust jacket is now protected in an archival quality mylar wrapper, fitted without use of adhesives or tape. A large and heavy volume which will require an additional charge for overseas delivery.
