London: Thomas Nelson. Very Good. 1851. Hardcover. 111 p. 12 cm. Sound binding, very slightly cocked - in black cloth-covered boards. Corners worn with light bumping. Cloth is rippled on both boards. Some overall rubbing. Fore-edge of text block has a bump. Front free endpaper is missing. Gift inscription dated 1852 on front pastedown endpaper. Tear to half-title page. Preliminary pages have a corner crease. Inside pages are generally clean with occasional soil or light foxing marks, and are lightly tanned. Includes "Melodies for the Young" (4 songs) on pages 103-111. Part of the "Home Library for Little Readers" from this publisher. "By the author of 'Jessie Graham', etc." .
