Map illustrated end pages, showing a map of Europe to the front end pages and a chronology of the war on the rear end pages. The text is illustrated with black-and-white photographs and the occasional map. Black-and-white photographic frontispiece showing the author and Sir Winston Churchill in Casablanca in 1943. Red coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Very dark blue coloured tint to the top text edge. Photographic dustwrapper with white and red coloured titles to the front panel and white coloured titles to the back strip. The second volume of the author's autobiography, which covers World War II. A little rubbing of the book edges with light tanning of the text block edges and age toning of the pages. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with some Chipping to the back strip edges.
