Blanda is most remembered for a series of come-from-behind miracles as a quarterback and place kicker for the Oakland Raiders in 1970. But he was much more than that. He came into the NFL in 1949 with the Chicago Bears and helped to inaugurate the AFL where he was a quarterback for 7 years before moving to the Raiders and finishing up his career as a QB and PK. Outspoken and full of insights about the NFL, AFL, owners, and head coaches, this book is an eyeopener to the world of professional football in the pre big-time era. A clean presentable reading copy.
