About This Item

Coral Gables, FL: University Of Miami Press, 1970. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Inscribed by the author on the fly leaf, plus a laid-in ALS. 1970, First Edition. Hardcover. Clean and unmarked contents. DJ lightly rubbed and edgeworn. An interesting copy -- the author notes in the written letter that he has rejected his 'English identity' and chosen a Kiswahili name. The author's name on the jacket is covered in tape and all other instances of his first name on the jacket and title page have been clipped out. An inscribed copy, modified by the author.
