Jacket has a crease at the front flap, shows a small closed tear at the front hinge, remains otherwise clean and crisp. There is a name pencilled to the front free endpaper which is not easily seen, given the endpapers are dark purple. Tells the stories of some of the brilliant jazz musicians of the day, and wa sin fact dedicated to the incomparable John Coltrane, one of thew featured musicians included in the text. Includes essays, reviews, and linear notes. Light red markings pencilled to pages 76 and 77; else is clean and bright with black and white photographs..
