This prohibition-era ampelography aims to sort out and identify the many black wine grape varieties found in California. Plates show leaves and fruit bunches. tables classify the grapes by juice color and described vine growth habit and berry shape and size. Many of the varieties are just now being reintroduced into California's wine industry. Scarce. Gabler (2nd ed.) 33590. Scarce.
