About This Item

Baltimore: Nautical & Aviation Publishing Co of America, 1997. First edition. Hardcover. A fine copy in a fine dust jacket. Author's first book, in the first issue dust jacket (without the Southern Living quote) published by a small press in Baltimore. Tiny first printing. In this copy Bahr was written out a paragraph from the book and signed underneath. Laid in is a note from Joe DeSalvo, Faulkner House Books, explaining Bahr working on this special copy during his appearance at Faulkner House. An impressive debut with a haunting tale of a brief but bloody encounter on the road to Nashville, which helped put paid to the Confederate cause in the latter stages of America's Civil War. 266pp.
