Signed on front free endpaper by Claire Dana Mumford and with an Autograph Letter, signed to Lila Hotz Luce Tyng laid in, an Autograph Letter, signed to Claire from Elinor on Hotel Bossert Brooklyn stationery. "Thank you again, a million times. Our love, Elinor [and] Bill tipped in on front pastedown, with note in Mumford's hand dating it Oct 5, 1923-"after wedding here at 4---25 W. 57
With a piece of pink silk from Elinor's wedding bouqet laid in, a portrait from The New Yorker by Peter Arno tipped in, et al. Lila Ross Hotz met Henry Luce in Rome in 1920, they married in 1923, they divorced in 1935. Provenace: Lila Tyng estate
