A very smart first edition of this thrilling novel from Paretsky, signed by the author. First edition. Signed by the author to the title page with the inscription "Penny, good wishes." When a close friend of Warshawski dies in the emergency room, she suspects malpractice and intends to prove it. Unfortunately, her investigation seems to ignite a chain of nasty reactions and murders. Written by Sara Paretsky, an American author known for her detective novels and creating the character of V. I. Warshawski. In the original quarter cloth binding with white paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear only.
