Whitman Publishing Company, 1928. Softcover. Acceptable. Saddle-stitched binding (stapled) still holds this neat publication together. However, the staples have a tenuous grip onto the pages. Two inch rip from top edge to first staple. A one inch rip from bottom to last staple. The covers and pages are beginning to work loose from the staples. Wraps are dirty and discolored. Nicks and chips to edges. Pages are toning, with dirty smudges and fingerprint marks on the pages. Wearing to outside edge of pages. While this "book" is in rough shape, the reproductions of Gleason's work are delightful. Many of the paintings depict the actual size of the birds. 20 images.
