London: R.H. Porter, 1900. First edition. Illustrated with six plates, several line drawings in the text, a folding map, pp lvi, 374, top edges gilt, the other edges uncut, red cloth, a little worn and marked. Inscribed "with the author's best wishes, June 1901" but not signed; with the bookplate of Frank Charles Minoprio and a later signature on the endpaper. The hinge at the title page cracked but not weak, the frontispiece a little foxed, the pages slightly age-toned, the map has a slight tear to the margin not affecting the printed surface.. Inscription from author. First Edition. Cloth. Good.
