New York: E.P. Dutton & Co, 1920. Limited Edition. Cloth. Very good +/very good. H. Gronvold. Green cloth, with quarter gray cloth, front cover has gilt illustration, spine has gilt lettering and illustration, dust jackets are unclipped, wear to top and bottom of spine. Vol. 2 has a closed tear and some wrinkling at top front. Some discoloration to endpapers. Vol. 2 has foxing to front flyleaf. Book plate pasted on both volumes' front endpapers with a name and a Latin phrase, "vita sine litteris mors este" (life without learning is death). Limited edition 1500 copies for England, 1500 for U.S. and large paper edition of 200 copies. Each volume has 22 color plates. Volume 1: v-xvii, 244 pp., two untrimmed pages, one in introduction and one in table of contents. Vol 2: v-ix, 240 pp. Laid in page ripped from Blackwell's Rare Book Catologue (1970) with listing of British edition of this book and price of 125 pounds.
