Boston: Boston Society of Natural History, 1928. Volume 6, Number 3 of the Memoirs of the Boston Society of Natural History. Pages 111-485 + 23 plates (some in color). Feodor Dmitrievich Pleske was the first Russian ornithologist to be published in the English language when he wrote this book under the name Theodore Pleake. It is a detailed monograph on the birds of arctic Europe and Asia with the results of Baron von Toll's Russian Polar Expedition of 1900-1903 incorporated in the account. The book is in generally good condition: internally clean and tight, with rubbing along edges of boards (worn through to boards in a few spots; relatively minor fraying of cloth at head and foot of spine.. First British Edition. Hardcover. Good. Illus. by Wassili Alexejewitsch Watagin. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Book.
