Northeast Harbor, Maine: Ellen Fink Milton, 1951. Classic text presents a detailed biographical monograph written by Albert Fink's daughter- author. Text describes the life and outstanding achievements of Albert Fink, world renown German civil engineer, who immigrated to the U.S. in 1849 and was hired by the Baltimore & Ohio railroad as a draughtsman. He became chief office assistant to Benjamin H. Latrobe, which gave him superintendence of the design, construction and supervision of the building of the first important iron bridges in the U.S. He was also consulting engineer of the Norfolk and Petersburg railway and rhe Louisville and Nashville road. 102 pgs.
