This is 2nd book in the marvelous series set in the American South, early in the 20th Century, featuring Miss Minerva and her ward, William Green Hill. 299 pages w/largish type, b&w drawings by Donahey ("The Teen Weenies" series"), maroon cloth covers w/black pictorial stamping, slight foxing/offsetting to the front end papers & a few pages. The scarce dust jacket has light edge wear w/a piece of transparent tape along the bottom of the front panel and spine. Overall a very decent copy of this scarce book. OUT OF PRINT. . Near Fine. Hardcover. 20th Printing. 1927.
