About This Item
London: Cassell, 1961 . First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good. 7.5" by 5". C. H. Chapman. The first Beaver Club edition of this charming Billy Bunter novel by Charles Hamilton using his pseudonym. First Beaver Club edition of Billy Bunter at Butlins in the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. By Charles Hamilton writing under his pseudonym Frank Richards, which he used for his Greyfriars School and Billy Bunter novels. This is the Butlin Beaver Club edition. Illustrated throughout the text by C. H. Chapman. In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. To the dust wrapper, there is some spotting and slight fading, and there is a large closed tear to the front. There are also other smaller tears and creases to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the odd spot and age toning. Very Good Indeed
