About This Item
George M Hill Company. Chicago. 1900 (Copyright 1891 by E W Nye)., 1900 Tan cloth with front cover Art Nouveau decoration in brown and gold; also small head and shoulders image of the author. Spine with brown and gold lettering and decoration. 504 pages. Small 4to. Illustrated throughout with 'One Hundred and Fifty Illustrations by J. H. Smith'. Title Page tipped-in. This appears to be a reprint of his book 'Remarks' which came out in the late 1880's using sheets prepared previously and with only a Hill Title Page. Contains 'About Two Hundred Sketches By America's Greatest Humorist with A Biographical Note'. The Hill issue of this book appears to be rare as I can find no reference to it in my various references. Light general wear with the bottom tips worn through; spine bottom with light fraying; covers a bit soiled; extremely cheap paper Title Page is cracked at the spine edge for about half its length; top edge darkened. A tight solid attractive copy with uncracked hinges. VERY GOOD- Language: eng Language: eng 0.0 Language: eng Language: eng Language: eng. 5th or later Edition.. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket.
