London: The China Inland Mission, 1923. First edition. Original Cloth. Very Good. 4 1/4 x 6 3/4 inches. viii + 102 pages with 1 page list of C.I.M. publications and 4 full page sepia-toned photographic illustrations. One mark and some toning to endpapers. Otherwise pages generally bright and clean and free of soiling, marking, staining or tears. Bound in publisher's yellow cloth with pictorial cover. Cover lightly worn and slightly discolored at spine and edges. A very good copy of this scarce first edition biography of a Chinese boy during the last quarter of the 19th Century, written by an unmarried female missionary.
