Dust jacket is protected by mylar covering and has tearing to spine edges, chipping to corners and edges of both covers, damp staining to inside and outside of both covers, and wrinkling to rear cover from water damage. Bowing to rear board from water damage. Textblock has damp staining to pastedowns, damp staining to rear endpaper, foxing to some pages, and damp staining to head edge. First Printing stated on copyright page. Shelved Case 6. 1373166. Shelved Dupont Bookstore.
Synopsis
Big Sur is a 1962 novel by Jack Kerouac that recounts the time when the author (called by the name of his fictional alter-ego Jack Duluoz) visited a cabin in Big Sur owned by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. Duluoz stayed for a few days, struggling through a nervous breakdown complicated by alcoholism.
