Cloth, 4to,. viii, 317 pp. An excellent bibliography, the author having for many years been the Librarian of the War Office Library. Details provided include an indication of plates and whether these are coloured. This handsomely produced reprint edition is in slightly smaller format than the original, but has the advantage of updating its coverage and incorporating additions in the new Addendum (pp 259-308). Classified arrangement, in the following chapters: General; Regular Army; Departments: Corps; Auxiliary Forces; and Miscellaneous. Index of subjects.
