About This Item
Twelve monthly issues bound in publisher's blue boards and cream-colored spine with four raised bands, 16mo, pp. 446, [447], plus colophon. Previous owner tasteful small bookplate on front paste-down. Contains Simeon Solomon; Baudelaire translated by Arthur Symons; Elizabeth Rachel Chapman; more. The majority of the jacket is toned to a light brown hue. This volume includes the remnants of a card-stock slipcase with paper spine label affixed. The tattered case provides no support in its current state but could perhaps be taped or glued into some semblance of a structure. For more see BISHOP, Thomas Bird Mosher Pirate Prince of Publishers (New Castle, 1998), p. 100, entry 32. NOTE that the Bibliography makes a distinction between "authentic" Bibelot volumes like this one that "should not be confused with the New York reprint done by Wm. H. Wise & Co. in 1925 (page 63)."
