Victor Gollancz, 1953. Hardcover. Good/Acceptable. 1953. No Edition Remarks. 304 pages. Yellow dust jacket over red cloth. Binding remains firm. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Slight sunning and crushing to spine ends. Clipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears, and creasing. Areas of loss to spine ends. Light tanning to spine and edges. Staining to front panel. Wear marks overall.

Synopsis

Beyond This Place is a 1953 novel by Scottish author, A. J. Cronin. The novel has been adapted for both film and television. A Bollywood version, Kalapani (1958), was directed by Raj Khosla and starred Dev Anand and Madhubala. The British film version (1959) was directed by Jack Cardiff and featured Van Johnson and Vera Miles. A television adaptation was broadcast on CBS in 1957, and was produced by David Susskind and directed by Sidney Lumet.
