About This Item

No dust jackets

Slip Case: Shelf rubs on the bottom (photo). Visible abrasion on the bottom of the title board (photo). Cosmetic damage only, the structural integrity of the slipcase is not compromised.

Books: Page surfaces and edges are moderately and uniformly toned. Volume 3 has a small spot on the base of the spine (photo). Nor marks or entries, the boards and spine are still tight and firm, the volumes lie flat and square.

Very Rare set. Shaw once boasted that he "could make deaf stockbrokers read my two pages on music." From childhood, GBS was steeped in music tradition. This 3-Volume set is a compilation of Shaw's views on music from 1876-1950. A must-have for every serious music lover and historian.
