Berkeley: the tabloid, 1968. Newspaper. 28p., folded tabloid, illus., very lightly toned, otherwise very good. Updates on student protest at UC Berkeley; cover depicts then-governor Ronald Reagan saying in disbelief "Cleaver Hall?" (a reference to the re-naming Sproul Hall after Black Panther Eldridge Cleaver). Back cover is full-page cartoon ad by Jim Gardner for The Ore House in San Jose touting "THREE bottomless dancers, day & night...EIGHT topless waitresses. Inside much on the "Fall of Cleaver Hall" occupation, including full page of photos of Stew Albert and Peter Camejo getting arrested. Plus usual news and ads of the era.
