Houghton Mifflin Company, 1900-01-01. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket-as issued. Hardcover, Seventh Edition 1889 Houghton Mifflin/ Riverside Press 296 pages. Very Good, no jacket as issued. Minor shelf/edge wear to blue cloth boards with gilt titles, a couple of small wrinkles to the front panel and some fraying to the spine ends. Previous owner bookplate on inside front cover, lightly written name and date (1895) at top of 2nd ffep. Good history of New England from the time of the Puritan Exodus to the revolution in 1689. First chapter covers roman and english ideas that gave birth to the Puritans. LOC SSS-29
