Internally there is a strip of age darkening to rear endpaper else very clean, tight and unmarked. A Very Good+ copy. Dustjacket has a little chipping and is not price clipped. Second edition (first was 1955). xiv + 234 pages. 11 illustrations and 80 diagrams. Coloured front endpapers of International Code of Signals. The book presents within one small volume a complete basic instruction, explanations and reminders in all branches of amateur seafaring, from sailing to selling, from loglines to longitude by chronometer. Essentially practical, and written with professional authority, it discloses many 'tricks of the trade' which most amateurs may only acquire after years of experience. B2E. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
