Vancouver, BC, Canada: G. Alex Matches, 1974. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. The book and jacker are in very good condition. The jacket has some shelf rubbing, a few areas with small stains, the rubbing is most noticeable along the fore-edge and the corner, a few very small areas of the jacket are missing entirely, the jacket has since been wrapped in brodart for preservation purposes. Text and images inside appear clean and clear throughout. Text includes a supplementary booklet for the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs 68th annual convention. 'Vancouver, Canada's third largest city, has a fire department long considered one of North America's best. Slim hardcover in brown cloth with gilt titling on the spine and Vancouver Fire Department insignia in gilt on the front cover. Over 200 b&w photos. Dust jacket tattered at the heel and corners. Small closed tear. Faded at the spine. Unclipped and essentially complete. Author's signature on title page, but there is also a gift inscription in another hand. Otherwise only minor wear. Binding square and firm.
