Green coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles and illustration, of a trilobite, to the backstrip. Photographic dustwrapper, of a mammoth, against a yellow coloured background with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. This is the history of the science palaeontology. First published in Germany under the title "Ehe Die Sintflut Kam" in 1965. Translated from the German by Richard and Clara Winston. the rear panel of the dust jacket is slightly "grubby", the front panel top edge of the dust jacket has at the spine and 1/2 inch tear, then another of about inch, and at the front fold over crease, a rough tear of about 1/2 inches in length.
