Bedtime Stories (Little Golden Book #2, 8th Printing in Dust Jacket)

Book This is a collectible copy of an early printing of the second Little Golden Book bound in the original blue cloth spine and in its dust jacket as issued. This is an 8th printing in January 1945. The back cover is Style #2.2 – "The Little Golden Library" title with a numbered list to #19. Size: 7.5"-8" - Small Octavo (Sm. 8vo). Item Type: Book. Text block is tight, bright and unmarked. One page ("Someone's been tasting my porridge!" page from The Three Bears) was bound in slightly crooked, so it has some wear where the page went about 1/16" beyond the bottom page edge for about 2" from the spine. Solid blue spine over paper-covered heavy cardboard covers. There are small (1/4") tears at the head and foot of the front paper cover adjoining the spine also affecting the title page. The corners are sharp and there is no shelf wear or rubbing of the paper on the covers. No foxing in this copy. The unclipped (25 cents) dust jacket has a bit of wear at the head of the spine and two small chips at its foot. The top front corner shows a little creasing from a bump and there is a small bit of wear at the foot of the front fold. The jacket has been protected in a clear sleeve for some time. The "This book belongs to" line on the inside front cover is blank. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing (but the edge of the one page noted above sticks out a little at the bottom of the side edge and along part of the bottom edge). Quantity Available: 1.
