New York: Outerbridge & Dienstfrey / Ballantine, (1970). Oblong, small quarto in a printed metallic-silver dust jacket that has light creases. Front free endpaper with mild waviness; various pages have faint age-toning at the very most outer edges, in the margins; scattered pages have soft creases from handling; a presentable copy; good.
First edition. The anthropologist Margaret Mead described this photo documentary and essay as an "astute staccato comment on present and needed changes in sensory modes, against a background of fantasied primitive life, annotated by some extraordinary photographs."
