About This Item
Glasgow: J. Lumsden & Son, 1814. 32mo. 48pp. Frontispiece and five additional engravings; for this copy, the plate usually found at 45/46 is bound at the rear. This copy, too, bears an 1814 watermark, suggesting an earlier date of publication than that determined by Roscoe and Brimmell, who claim 1818. Text block detached from wrappers, yet all elements only mildly soiled and leaves quite crisp and near fine. (Roscoe and Brimmell 53).
