Minor foxing at endpapers. Illustrated throughout with steel engravings, colored plates, and 200 woodcuts. Blue cloth boards decorated with illustrations in black, gilt and silver at front and spine. Boards lightly soiled and sunned, edges and corner rubbed, spine top and tail starting to fray. Front and back hinges broken, case binding intact, but detached from text block. Text block intact and stable. With works by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Daniel March, Theo. S. Cuyler, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Charles E. Spurgeon, Olivery Wendell Homes, James Russell Lowell, and Dr. John Hall, and others.
