VG John E Potter & Co Philadelphia 1865 early reprint hardcover 8vo, 437 pp + ads, b+w frontis, appendix. Listed in Wright's American Fiction. Originally published as Margaret Moncrieffe, the First Love of Aaron Burr: A Romance of the Revolution in 1860. Name and 1882 date written on front endpaper. Reddish brown cloth bidning has black decorations with gilt spine decoration and titling. Light extremity wear and diagonal closed tear at upper right corner of front free endpaper. Solid and clean. Includes an appendix of historical information.
