Corners a bit rubbed with a bit of boards showing, some wear top and bottom of spine. Spine a little bit cocked but overall clean and tight. Inside front hinge just weakening. Illustrated endpapers. 365 pages with ads in back. 1903 gift note on ffep. Tissue intact between title page and frontispiece illustration. Including frontispiece, 15 b/w glossy plates throughout. This sequel to Beautiful Joe describes a world where animals find themselves after death and chronicles the afterlife of many of the animals introduced in Saunders' earlier books..
