About This Item
New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1928. First edition thus. Hardcover. Near Fine/very good. First photoplay editoion and 9th printing overall, 1928 with 1927 date imprinted last on copyright page. Hardcover in light blue cloth. 370 pp. plus publisher's ads at rear. Illustrated with scenes from the Paramount Pictures silent film starring Gary Cooper and Evelyn Brett (the film is now lost with only a trailer surviving). A tight, internally bright example with some fade to the spine strip. In the original color illustrated dust wrapper, very good with some shallow chipping to the spine ends and upper edge front panel, some rubbing at the spine folds.
