In the original publisher's lettered dustjacket, which is not price-clipped. There is edge-wear/chipping to the dustjacket covers and a few closed tears which are neatly repaired to the inside with clear archive tape. The former owner has written a price and reference number in pen on the half-title page, otherwise there are NO other inscriptions or marks. 398 pp. Illustrated with b/w plates and maps. Index of Battles; Index of Place Names. Overall, apart from the 'faults', as detailed above, this is a Tight and Secure, 'Very Good Plus' copy. "This is a remarkable work of reference. It brings together into one comprehensive volume the story of the achievements of the British and Commonwealth armies over 300 years of service. " Please note that this book is overweight and very heavy at 1. 6Kg and MAY require extra postage depending on your location. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall .
