Frontispiece of Colonel Thomas Knowlton, protected by tissue guard with 9 other illustrations and maps. 2 of the maps are full-color pullouts. The tactical and strategic background and movements of the battle. Includes a section of "Authorities American, English, and Hessian on the Battle of Harlem Heights Including Letters and Documents on Various Events of the Campaign. Handsome, gilt decorated green cloth boards slightly rubbed with light bumping to corners. Top edge gilt. Tightly bound with no names or marks. A superb, rare copy with the pull-out maps intact.
