Milt Hinton was the "Dean of Bass Players" for fifty years and played with most of the great jazz musicians of his era. This is his biography which is illustrated with his own b&w photos of people of the era. Original red cloth publisher's covers with black spine lettering. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. The dust jacket has a short tear and crease to the bottom edge of the front panel, else it is in clean, unmarked and serviceable condition. ; B&W Photographs; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 328 pages .
