Long accordion-folded portfolio (almost 13 feet unfolded), enclosed in a handmade blood-red slipcase, presenting for the first time 12 large-format images of Basquiat taken in 1984 at his studio at 57 Great Jones Street. Of the 12 large images 9 are b&w and 3 are in color. Also reproduced are 7 contact sheets of which 5 are b&w and 2 are in color---a total of 79 images altogether. Included with each of the 500 copies is a signed and numbered certificate by the photographer Richard Corman. An exceptional collection of photographic portraits of Basquiat from an important early juncture in his career. Highly recommended. As new.
