Stanford Maritime, London, 1975. Reprint. Softcover. Very Good Condition. Illustrator: Illustrated. Preface and introduction by author and index. Throughout the text there are tables, navigation plots, illustrations, and, at the rear of the book is a multi-leaved map of the lower part of England giving various navigational hints. The book was produced for sailors to learn how to navigate astronomically using different techniques, but, was also aimed at candidates wishing to sit for GCE qualifications in navigation and the RYA/DTI Yachtmaster (Ocean) Certificate. 1st published in 1964. Rubbing of the book edges and panels and remnants of a sticker can be seen to the top left-hand corner of the front panel. Light age toning of the text block edges and pages the very occasional foxing spot. Previous owners name to the top right hand corner of the title page and to page 33. The map shows no damage.
